I know many of you might have seen the super bowl spot, but they just released a much extended theatrical trailer. It contains dialogue, and is the first trailer/teaser to do so.

Iroh is cast terribly imo. I mean a lot of people are, but I was really taken aback by his look. He has to be a tea loving fat man to work.

This is supposed to take a trailer slot before the upcoming Percy Jackson movie, which I personally think looks pretty bad

I cant wait for this movie, im skeptical about some things but I really am looking forward to this regardless

but I probably wont like it until they get into the 2nd movie and the earth kingdom :X

Not really a fan of the casting, then again it is Holywood. Not too sure about Shyamalan either, his latest films sucked.

I don't think you can capture the essence of an animation on film. Looks meh tbh.

It's like that Dragonball movie. I hate the animation too, but the movie was just pathetic.

I found the cartoon to be quite a bit more interesting than what most other cartoons (at least ones aimed at kids) have had to offer. I didn't follow it that well, though, and think the idea of putting in in movie form looks pretty sweet. Of course, it could be a total failure if not executed well.

I didn't get into the cartoon series much. My kids both loved it though. So, I'll probably be taking them to see the movie. It looks like it should be at least good for some decent action/effects. I don't think it's going to blow my mind, but should be worth a view.

I Freakn Loved the cartoon, and I am totally seeing this. Looks like they are going to do the First Season. It looked like Yuwei falling into the water on one scene. WHERE"S APPA!
I think the Casting is just fine. I think it's cool he went all Indian Actors for the Fire Nation. Would have been cool to get some Inuit Looking kids to play Sokka and Kitara but They looked Tribal enough for me.

I loved the cartoon series, but I'm getting that same sick feeling in my stomach I got when I first saw the trailer for DragonBall. Granted it looks like it could be a decent movie, and the trailer just didn't do it justice, but . . . that seems like a long shot.

LOVED the cartoon. I'm worried that this one is going to be all dark and serious. One of the greatest thing about the cartoon was how they could go from quirky to very intense life threatening situations. I really hope this is good.

Hmm, tried to get into the cartoon, but couldn't, and I HATE Shyamalan's movies. However that trailer made it look cool. I'll be watching it. And hoping Shyamalan doesn't write himself into the movie AGAIN...

Well, the difference with this movie is, it's not an M. Night idea. I don't generally dislike his movies, just the crappy twist (on the more recent flicks). So, I think the chance of this getting screwed up is slimmed down.

i think its great that they took kids that are actually about the same age as they are in the cartoon, not like the gay dragonball movie.

i totally agree about the general mood of the cartoon, and how difficult it will be to get that into the movie. i personally don't think it'll happen. i have seen the whole show all the way through 4 times, twice with my brother (he's 22, i'm 20...), and pretty much any time sokka or aang say something, we'll make the comment that "it's impossible to portray that [quirkiness] in a movie."

and if iroh is as grim as he looks the whole time, this movie will blow. iroh's wisdom is so awesome because he doesn't give a fuck, and i really hope that they're able to capture that.

my only problem with M. Night is that his writing is ishy. since he's not at liberty to twist the ending into knots, the only thing that really worries me is that he hasn't really done anything action/epic oriented, and from the looks of a lot of the shots he doesn't really know what he's doing

This movie sure looks HAPPENING, but then again, i've been told I have a SIXTH SENSE about these kind of things. It's also a good thing that Shamalyn's track record is UNBREAKABLE.

I've seen it in trailers before.

I saw an untextured model in the trailer for Die Hard 4.

I remember the super bowl trailer for the Hulk. The compositing was horrible. In the final movie, all had been fixed.

i've started watch it few years ago and finally got full collection of all three "books".
there is no need to tell how i am loving cartoon and waiting for the movie.
