Hey guys, not sure if this counts, but I'm now working at Liquid Development on some next-gen titles. It's not a studio job, but it's industry work and my first gig since starting learning 3d a year ago!

Liquid's a great place to get work, lots of varied projects to learn stuff on and keep things from getting boring.
Wait that was their first year there? I remember stopping by years ago to say hi to you, looked like they had been there for a while as cramped as it was.
This really motivates me to work even harder. It's been only 10 months since I picked up 3d-modelling myself; I've been worried that it might be too early too look for a gig. Glad you proved me wrong

Liquid is a great place to start your career, I worked with them for 2 years and half, I've got more then 10 titles to my belt. So, good luck there and have fun. My congrats.

OrganizedChaos... I would consider it a real job. It is freelance but you work closely with the Art Managers and I'm already overloaded with work
man_o_mule... I'm working remotely. It's great for me right now. Gives me a chance to gain some experience in a development environment. I'm looking to apply for a studio job end of the year, possibly have a job at Bioware Edmonton through some connections.
