I came home today to find my television showing nothing but black & white static. I can't figure out how to get my cable TV (regular ol' cable) to work!
What i've done so far:
--I went around checking all cables are secure (they are).
--I checked the television in the bedroom to see if its working (it is).
--The cable that feeds in to the TV in question is actually coming off a splitter (which splits the main cable in to my TV and my cable modem, the cable modem works fine). So I ran the main cable directly in to my TV to see if it was a faulty cable, no luck.
--Dumb, but I even tried Auto-tuning (yay joke time!) the channels, with no luck.
What might have happened? The back doesn't look damaged at all. 'Jiggling' the cable at the back of the TV gets a reaction in the static its showing, but thats about it.
The television is an LG 46" thats barely over a year old.
Thank you in advance!

Did you do the original installation yourself, or was it installed for you? I've seen installation companies do some rather strange setups, and your problem might be that some setting has been tweaked somewhere.
Kill 'em... kill 'em all!
Many systems can control individual boxes. So they may have shut off one room and not the other.
Without knowing Adam's details, my best guess would be that they thought he was only paying for one box, and shut off the other one... since most systems charge extra for other rooms these days.
