What I hate more, though, is when you sap the shit out of enemy constructions but die in the process, but your team doesn't seem to care and doesn't bother pushing when it can.
By the time I get there, the constructions are back and we are in a greater shithole than before...
I want my turrets crawling along the ceiling, assaulting the enemy.
A mobile turret that brings the fight to us? That I could respect. Not like those lazy-ass turrets that just sit there in the intelligence room, killing me again and again..... :poly127:
There's alot of talk about the engi getting an update too (Forum-talk).
There was some talk about the newspaper with the engineer in it, the engi inventing stuff for the 2 other guys and something about a wrench flying towards the demo/soldiers faces in the "WAR"-image.
I play an engi the most so I'm reaaaaally looking forward to it whenever the update happens.

i wonder if this now means you can't detonate bombs you can't see? surely not.. if I'm defending, a lot of the time my bombs are round a corner somewhere that I detonate when someone heads in that direction. if they solve that problem (ie, you can look in the vague direction rather than direct line of sight) I sense great potential..
For you EURO-dudes. A buddy of mine set up a server situated in sweden. Maybe we can get some action going on in there every now and then? It's a normal non-crazy-cfg-stuff server.

I'm going to assume they are getting grenades. not only is the icon used everywhere with the soldier now but they're even integrated into his uniform as well lately. I'm looking forward to a type of grenade for the soldier.

Spies aren't the answer to engies, demo's are. No one is up front with a spy or sees what they're doing. Spies often don't communicate what they're about to do or just run in alone whenever they get the chance.
When a spy starts to do their thing, it triggers the entire other team to switch into killer bee mode and swarm the area.
With a demo, they hang back in a safe point often where other people will gather up, and when they take out the buildings the group can rush. It's pretty apparent when a demo is dancing around a corner he's loading up a sentry. With a spy they cloak and you have no idea if they're going to slip in and kill snipers or if they are going to just die 3 sec later.
With demos it just works a little more organically than a spy who has to relay on communication to make themselves effective, and most don't.

love the new updates. Even though I was sniper, best part of gameplay tonight was on CTF_Doublecross. On the bridge, had my Huntsman out, demoman charged me with sword, and I put an arrow through his head about a foot away from me it pinned him to the boxes in the center of the bridge. God that was awesome.
Also, being a medic with DirectHits firing at your heal'e is hard

I guess it was just foolish hope. foolish hope in that the soldier might get grenades as a weapon! (as long as it's not like COD's Martyrdom..)
