I've actually made a point of not watching any videos or anything related to this whole Veyron incident. I can't bring myself to watch the destruction of a work of art and engineering by such an ignorant fucktard. :shifty:

A lot of the exotic car companies (Ferrari and Lamborghini in particular) have waiting lists and you must meet their approval (in some cases having owned a certain number or makes of their previous vehicles) before they'll even let you put money down on their cars. Nothing stopping the pricks at the resellers / specialty dealerships from selling something nice to someone waving a big wad of cash in their face, sadly enough. :shifty:
Growing up, and when I got my driver's license, the phrase "Driving is a privilege, not a right" was ground into my brain on a regular basis. You'd think with that kind of mantra a lot more people (on all positions of the financial and vehicular spectrum) would be without license or car for how much they abuse that privilege.
To this day I still remember watching one of those 'police car cam' shows and hearing the VO dude say that the drunken lady being followed had been pulled over for drunken driven some 20-odd times. The vid ended with her totally wrecking her car and almost hitting some people along the way, and this wasn't the first time that had happened. I'm not in favor of some oppressive ruling that one slip-up and you're up shit creek without a paddle, but when someone is obviously that damn careless (much like that old geezer with the exotics) someone needs to say "enough is enough, you've lost the privelege to drive" and strictly enforce it. :poly142:
