With all the fear mongering going on in the world, I think it's important to keep things in perspective. Cultivating compassion and living your life is much more rewarding than cowering in fear waiting for the next moment to bring it's worst (AKA buying a bunch of guns and expecting the end of the world :P)

Another uplifting way to look at where we are at history right now; instead of teetering on the brink of destruction, we may be working towards a more peaceful planet.
