[3dsmax] Zoom/frame selected w/ unwrap modifier

Hey there

When you're in Unwrap UVW and under face subobject is it possible to frame/zoom your view on your selection?

I don't get why hitting "Z" (Zoom extents selected) works on everything else but not in the unwrap uvw modifier.

You might possibly need to turn on Keyboard Shortcut Override. It was working for me 3dsmax 2010 just the other day.

errr not in the Edit UVs window.
I want to select and zoom on a face in the viewport while editing UVs

Edit: Also on Max 9

You probably need to select the viewport again. It works on whatever the active window is.

I just tried out 2010 and that does indeed work Vig.
Won't work with Max 9 though as far as I can tell. I tried selecting the viewport again and even closing the edit uvs window and it still won't zoom on just the subobject selection, it zooms the whole object.

Guess I'll just have to deal with it.

Yup, it's a max bug (or just an oversight) - you can't properly frame selected in the perspective view when you have items selected in the unwrap window - it will just frame the whole object since it doesn't seem to regard UV sub-object selections as proper geometry. Really annoying, it's made me want to shout at the developers a few times.

Restarting Max 2011 helps. I get the issue sporadically.
