Game of Thrones, naturally, has me inspired. Going to have this little guy comped / animated similar to the fantastic work they've done.

Currently, need critique on the overall look of the thing. I'm mostly content with the model, but not pleased with the shader / texture work quite yet.

I need some objective eyes to have a look and pick it apart so that I can improve before rigging and animating.

I appreciate the help

The wing skin that connects to the body should connect above the hind legs. That the part that provides lift. Look at where bat and bird wings connect. Also the wing 'fingers need to be longer and have a bit more shape to the wing skin.

I agree with Darklepards comment. I feel as though the amount of the wings skin surface area wouldn't be large enough to lift that guy up. The detail on the body looks great, it could just be the render, but I'd like to see some more detail in the face/head. Maybe a slight hint of vein texture in the wing skin? That is if the wings are partially translucent.

Thanks for the comments - exactly the stuff I'm looking for! Darkleopard: the reference is fantastic, I'll apply it tonight.

snrch: I have some nice bright blue veins in one of the subdermal maps, it should pop rather nicely when lit from behind .

Splatt: Thanks a bunch - I'll post the textures tonight, but they're not particularly special, lots of layers of dirt and grime.
