Posted this in "what are you working on" thread, thought I'd might dedicate a single thread to it as well, to keep up the pace.

Refocusing on 3D after 3 years of faffing about, I started with something simple based of a doodle from my blackbook I made in the dreaded realm of public transportation. It's gonna be good old Model+Diffuse.



I'm kinda doing this thing in reverse so I'm currently working out the concept and colour style I'm planning to use.



Aaaaaand it's probably gonna be nr.1 the Bronze one.

Quick update.

At work atm, and these pics ( i'll post some clearer at home) are a bit messy, figuring out what kind of decorations I want on the armor, nothings set in stone so far.



Currently messing around with winged markings.

Reminds me a bit of the Yukes from Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. I like where this is going. Keep it up.

Now that you mention it, it does look like a Yuke . I was actually thinking about "Oon" at that moment from Jayce and the wheeled warriors (if you know who that is, you're an old fart like me) but couldn't recall what he looked like, so I guess I mixed it up a bit.

Quick teensy Texture update, as time's kicking my ass atm. Goofing around with the shading a bit, figuring out where i'm heading.
