What is the best way to create ligthshafts in UDK. I know there is an option to enable automatic lightshafts for Lights and Dominant directional lights, but that is not the kind of effect I want. That effect is only visible if you look into the light, I want to see the lightbeams coming through windows/holes and shining onto the ground at an angle. Lightbeams that are visible because there is dust/fog in the air. I know I can use geometry, but isn't there a better, more dynamic way?
The second part of my question is, I want to show subtle dust particles in the lightbeams (where the light hits the particles they should be more visible than in the dark.
