Introduction
Hi aspiring Concept, texture and modeling artists, I've started an organized group on Facebook for modeling Team Fortress 2 items. It's currently run by me (the modeler), and my buddy (the concept artist). We decided to go with Facebook because:
1. Facebook seems to be the mainstream source of online communing, and we have a lot of friends on it whom are interested. Mainly IRL friends.
2. It offers the feature of starting groups which whom we can invite people too.

As a group, we'll discuss and vote on the next item we'll be creating together.

Roles in the Group
Concept Artist's Roles
Based on what the team has voted on for the next item we'll be making, the Concept Artist shall sketch a draft of the model for the modeler. While the modeler is creating the item, the concept artist will further detail his concept art so that the texture artist can get a better understanding of what he or she shall texture.

Modelers Roles
-Create the model based on the concept artist's work.
-Unwrap it for the texture artist
-Provide Ambient Occlusion and rendered UVW maps for the texture artist.
-Rig, and animate

Texture Artist's roles
-Create all the different texture maps for the weapon based on the concept art. ie, diffuse, specularity, opacity, normal, etc.

Joining
The prerequisites to joining us as the texture artist are:
-Must have 3ds max, or some form of a modeling program so that you can see the progression of your textures.
-Must provide at least 2-3 unique textures you've made for models.


Here are just a few models that I've created. Not all are finished, and not all are related to Team Fortress 2.

-Newest Model in Development-
The newest model that I'm modeling, and that the concept artist sketched for me is of a "steampunk" hammer. I've already created a custom particle effect for the steam release ejectors that the hammer has.
