crazy bump??

hello guys,I wanted to ask about crazy bump.I looked up the website and there is a demo version for windows,there is something about a license.I understand there was a free version two years ago or so,something about a beta version.

I need more info,the forums on the site containing the Q&A isn't working.

The free version a few years ago was the beta. Now that it's a full release you gotta pay for it.

I've used Crazy Bump a lot, and while it's a good program, nDo2 is better IMO. Cheaper as well. You'll need Photoshop though.

CB is good for quick detail normal maps, but then again nDo2 does that (And better, IMO). Ever since nDo2 came out, that's what I've been using. However, CB was great while it lasted!

ya i haven't touched CB since ndo2 came out.

ndo2 also changed workflow by huge extents, there are a ton of things i dont even bother doing in my highpolys anymore, and i pretty much stopped useing floaters, since i can just do that detail with ndo2 jsut as easily.
