We are inviting applications for a number of posts to join us to further develop the success of the School, to contribute to a lively and professionally-oriented portfolio of courses in Visual Arts, Design, Screen Media, Music and the Centre for Postgraduate Creative Arts. The School has been developing its work with a focus on excellence of results and a high quality student experience alongside strong industry networking, international collaborations and practice-led research. The posts are replacing current colleagues who are retiring or moving on. The School currently has approximately 2,500 students including postgraduate and research, with additional students studying in Russia and Malaysia, as well as on-line through partners and regional College arrangements. Successful applicants would join an academic staffing body of approximately 90 staff and 120 visiting lecturers.

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced person to lead the development of this established programme, as well as make a significant contribution to postgraduate study and the research profile of the School. You will take the course forward to further develop its reputation nationally and internationally, including external collaborations and industry involvement. You will already have some higher education and professional/research experience to draw on as well as experience of technical and regulatory aspects.

Under current UKBA regulations, the University is unlikely to be able to get a work permit in respect of this post. We can therefore only accept applications from people who will have the right to work in the UK for at least one year from the date of appointment.
