zbrush menu issue

So i was playing around today, setting up a custom UI in zbrush. When I opened it back up after restarting my computer, i can't seem to get drop down menus to show up. Not sure what i clicked. Tried setting it back to the default UI and it still has this issue. For example, the tool menu doesn't show anything underneath it like in the picture. I could just do a quick uninstall/reinstall, but was curious what happened.

which now the toolbar shows up randomly. still unsure of a proper fix

wow can i get a delete of this thread, it's because i dont have a tool open
