Hello, I am currently working on this turret. I've finished the highpoly and will now start the lowpoly. I will post some better (anti aliased) screens later, sry.
I've added some polys to the ammobox and did a testbake. Quiet happy with
the outcome(there are some minor skewed details and some smoothing errors but nothing that cant be solved).
I will do some proper uvws now and then hopefully I can start to texture (my fav. work).
I totally suck at choosing colors. I tried to let it look military, but everything dark green looks boring and this grey with the dark green looks also quite strange.
@SHEPEIRO great tool, thx! @ageless thx! @S_ource I've also thought at adding more materials, but its not that easy. I think more than metal and plastic would not fit the theme(Aliens,starship troopers inspired) @SPYFF I'll experiment with some camo pattern, thx.

I have around 2.6k tris, what is pretty good. The aim was to get 3-4k tris.
Don't know if I should add more geometry, or not?

i added a dark desaturated green and looked at the different schemes...
