UI Artist - temporary
Description
We are seeking an uber creative UI Artist for a temporary gig working either remotely or onsite. You should be able to use Photoshop and Illustrator in your sleep, and be comfortable creating game icons and top down maps.
Qualifications:
Experience designing and producing graphical user interfaces & menus (web and/or games)
Experience with developing layout of overall UI display (HUD)
Experience creating all UI elements (icons, buttons, toggles, sliders, etc.)
Experience developing multi-platform user interfaces
Strong graphics design background
Highly knowledgeable in Photoshop and Illustrator
Experience designing and producing composite menus
Knowledge of HTML and/or XML
A background in web design or industrial design is a big plus
The ideal candidate will also have:
Work with Design Team Leadership, artists, and other level builders to help deliver environments that embody the creative and artistic vision of the game.
Be familiar with a 3D level/world creation package, preferably Radiant.
Concept, detail, and polish geometry based on photo reference, concept art, and design documents.
Spearhead the collaborative process with other designers, artists, animators and engineers to create a level that not only looks great, but runs great as well.

Have strong hands-on experience, with a mod team or preferably a published title, with single player or multiplayer level creation.
Be able to effectively communicate with your level build peers, design management and anyone else within Treyarch.

Level Builder/Designer
Description
We are looking for self-motivated designers with intense creative vision and fresh ideas for gameplay. Our Level Designers collaborate with the level team to take a game level from design to completion.
Responsibilities:
Work with Design Team Leadership, artists, and other level builders to help deliver environments that embody the creative and artistic vision of the game.
Be familiar with a 3D level/world creation package, preferably Radiant.

Senior Level Builder/Designer
Description:

Has a strong background in traditional art skills and demonstrates an understanding of fundamentals like composition, perspective, proportion, scale, value, and color.
Demonstrates strong sketching abilities as well as rendering, matt painting, graphic design and iconography. Understands which art techniques to employ to deliver the piece on time while communicating what is needed to the team.
Has a proven record of meeting deadlines.
Has excellent communication skills and is able to work one on one, in groups, and with multiple departments and different personalities. Is proactive amongst all parties.
Possesses the ability to take direction and feedback from the team as well as contribute ideas. Understands the artwork is functional to the game and needs to clearly communicate to the team of its intended goals.
Shows an interest in delivering the best possible results and puts in effort to achieve them.
Must be comfortable with learning new tools, including some of the game tools.

Senior Concept Artist - temporary Description
The Cinematic Concept Artist is a critical role that pushes the visual look and style of the game forward. This position works directly with the Art and Associate Art Directors, as well as the immediate team attached to the piece to provide visual communication to the rest of the larger team.
Responsibilities:
Creates concepts that center on visualization for the cinematic scenes which can include environmental studies, characters, vehicles, weapons, 2d graphic art, storyboards, and more.
Generates paint overs on the existing game to push the visuals further and problem solves areas.
Works closely with the team attached to the piece to ensure the concepts are as effective as possible. Seek out additional knowledge by interacting with the art and design staff, as well as reading game documentation and playing the game as needed to deliver the most informed piece as possible.

QA Tester - temporary, full time
Description
JOB TITLE: QA Tester
STATUS: Temporary full-time employment
WORK FREQUENCY: 40 hrs/wk, weekends and overtime as needed
LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT: Varies; depends on project
The QA Tester performs day to day analysis and examination of entertainment media and associated material as assigned by Management. Responsibilities include performing tests, reporting anomalies, and verifying implemented fixes throughout the project's development cycle.
The QA Tester will be hired as a Volt employee working on-site at Treyarch as the client. The employment relationship and any employment related questions or concerns will be managed by Volt as the employer. Employment with Volt is contingent upon an acceptable background investigation and training period. All employees must submit to a seven-year multi-county and separately held misdemeanor court search and seven-year federal criminal search.
Only applicants that have been selected for an interview will be contacted. There are no part time positions available. Testing is performed on-site only in Santa Monica, CA. No remote testing available. Relocation is not offered.
Duties:
Isolate and report anomalies and technical issues a consumer might encounter in the product.
Work in a fast paced environment that requires frequent shift in areas of focus.
Work side by side with development teams to ensure the title is achieving planned milestones.
Verify fixes are implemented correctly throughout the product cycle in both consumer and development environment.
Ensure bug reports are written clearly and accurately, detailing anomalies found and the steps required to reproduce those anomalies.
Review software documentation for accuracy and completeness as it pertains to test objectives for the product.
Use DevTrack database to record bugs and specific test results.
Requirements:
Ability to follow directions, remain focused and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to work from 10 to 7 pm Monday through Friday with the flexibility to change and work overtime as needed.
Must be able to play First Person Shooter perspective games.
Familiarity with Windows and gaming console platforms.
Must be able to perform testing on games and other software to verify proper function, data content, performance, usability/playability and hardware/software compatibility.

QA Senior Tester Description
The QA Senior Tester is expected to perform expert level functionality testing on assigned QA projects. The QA Senior Tester also assists the QA Project Lead/QA Senior Lead with a variety of tasks, including supervising and mentoring the test team, helping execute the test plan, and other project related tasks. The QA Senior Tester may also be called upon to perform in an acting QA Project Lead role, which involves organizing and leading the testing effort on an assigned software title.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs Quality Assurance testing on assigned products (50%)
Assists in executing the QA project test plan by performing thorough testing on assigned software titles. This can include functionality, balance, stability, performance, interface, art, sound, text, documentation, and other types of testing.
Identifies and documents defects in a clear and concise manner using the assigned bug tracking database.
Assists the QA Project Lead in tracking down issues and working out the steps to reproduce issues so that they are easier to locate and fix.
Completes regression/verification testing on an as needed basis.
Follows instructions and accomplishes tasks as directed by the QA Project Lead or QA Management.
Acts in a supporting role to an assigned QA Project Lead (30%)
Assists assigned QA Project Lead. Assigns tasks to the test team, and follows up on the completion of assigned tasks to ensure that they're completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Undertakes additional responsibilities, such as database management, or in researching and gathering data for metrics, as assigned by the QA Lead.
May be called upon to present testing results in higher level meetings with senior management. Must be able to summarize, prioritize and disseminate this information in a clear and precise way that is easily understood by all.
Assists in training and mentoring new testers in the basics of testing the game and QA testing policies and procedures.
Looks for ways to improve testing effectiveness. Coaches other testers in innovative testing techniques and encourages testers in ways to break the game beyond the obvious approaches. Encourages testing "outside the box".
May be called upon to help manage the test team in the QA Lead's absence.
Leadership of secondary and derivative SKUs (10%)
Assists assigned Quality Assurance Manager or QA Senior Project Lead in starting, organizing, and completing an assigned QA test project.
Organizes and oversees all testing on assigned projects, to ensure that all bugs are found and reported, and that the title is thoroughly and effectively tested.
Supervises the test team on a daily basis to ensure rapid and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
Evaluates performance and provides feedback to test team members.
Creates informative and accurate daily reports and ensures distribution to designated production and management staff.
Coordinates testing with Night Shift, and any other applicable group as needed.
Performs other additional tasks as defined by QA policy.
Special projects or assignments (10%)
From time to time the QA Manager may assign special projects to the QA Senior Tester in furtherance of the Quality Assurance department's goals.
