Looks cool, only thing for me is that I think you should pump up the spec in places. I know he's all grungy and beaten up but I think there would still be some strong specular in places, especially in areas where he's been scratched or areas that are less dirty.
But again looking really cool, just a bit too matte I think.
Oooh also a red (Or any color) glow from part of his chest to indicate a power source might be cool, but I understand if that's too far off your design.
I agree that the forms are being lost in the noise of the texture. It looks like a bunch of random tiles thrown together and sloppily unwrapped?
It would really help to define the shapes better through the material. The damage could be less noisy and more logical and help define the edges of things without being over the top on scratches on every edge.
