Hey yall
I've just started on a new indy game project with some mates, and have set about creating the characters for it. I'll update this thread with all character related shenanigans and hopefully get some feedback from you fellows.
The basic artstyle we're going for is stylised cartoony proportions, with realistic materials/textures, and the setting is classic knights in armour medieval.
These are still very early days, and i'm experimenting with how realistic i can go before it starts looking creepy as hell.
Basically the same body will be used for most characters, but with different materials, colours and heraldries the variations become almost endless. There will be lots of different heads and helmet variations eventually too, but first i wanna get the basic guardsman unit right.

Ok everyone needs to calm down a little he mentioned in an earlier post that there would be customization for different heads for different character classes.
The mustache isn't gone it's just one of many options the player has for character customization. With this shaven face being the base model.
Granted, I can understand the distress, why would anyone choose smoothface up there, when they could have such a luxurious mustache haha.
