This is my attempt a panzer ausf H. without the extra armor, or the zimmerit coating; I am planning on have a version with both, as it is meant to at least have the outer armor equipped. I have to admit that I am not a panzer expert, so I am sure that some of the model is inaccurate. feel free to to crit.
Also if you would like to see larger versions of these renders visit my "work in progress" page on my website.

I remember a post on PC not to long ago of someone doing welding beads. They tried in zbrush but it looked muddy so I think they just worked a sphere to be flat and goopy looking, and just duplicated along the edges.
dudealan2001- yep, they sure are man! I just made a quick and simple wield alpha, (using zbrush and photoshop) and went to town.
omfigarted- no I am not planning on coloring the model, I could however throw some insignia on it. But, I don't want to make this a specific H. because I don't know enough about the history of these tanks to do that. Also, the tread is just like the bolts, and well... pretty much everything else. You have to place all this stuff by hand for the best results.
AlecMoody- the model is really not meant to be baked down at all. Then edges are super tight and there is soooo much micro detail that it would, as you pointed out, bake horribly! this model is made to reflect how the panzer was actually built.
Its in cali. It'd be nice to go there. Thats a pretty big collection.
I've been drooling over this tank for quite awhile and really admire the subtle realistic touches you have added, especially the dents, bumps and weld marks. Nice job on all of your hard surface work on your website too. A++
