My New Old Music

Hey,

Just realised I don't think I posted my FAWM stuff from this year. FAWM is a thing that runs during all of February where the aim is to try and write and record an album (14 songs) in 28 days ... that'd be 2 days per song if you managed it.

Me and my friend (who now lives in Finland, which makes things difficult since I'm in the UK!) have been doing this the last few years under the name Fort Elmfield, we'd been sticking with instrumental stuff since it's what we know, but this year I branched out and bought a microphone... scary stuff.

We managed to write and record 8 songs between us, although a few of them never ended up with lyrics due to time constraints.

Here are a few of the main ones:

1. Pandemonium
2. Snowblind
3. One Last Time
4. Reason, Rhyme
5. Together At Last

I appreciate I'm not the world's best singer, but I think I'm slowly getting better. Maybe next year we'll finish a full album

Hey, this is really not bad Paul! Your music skills though still noticeably greater then vocal, but if you keep practicing I'm sure you'll get that power and strength to your voice, that I feel is lacking right now.

All and all it's the kind of post rock I enjoy and it rarely comes with lyrics, so it's interesting. Might give it a spin from time to time.

I don't think its a bad voice. There's not enough variety in types of voice in the music world, so many people are trying to do the same things in that area.

I enjoyed your previous Fort Elmfield release a lot! FAWM2010 has been on my playlist for a long time.
