Hello Polycount!
This is my first post and since this is one of my first models feel free to give me any criticism you have. It is hopefully going to be going into a UDK project I'm working on. It is about 1300 polys.

for one,a high poly bake would help it out ALOT,and the UV's look like there a mess.If you just fix the wood texture,and put some specular maps on there,it would already be looking alot better.

Actually the wood texture is just generated because for a day or two I don't have access to a computer with photoshop. The barrel, rail, and scope are only flat black textures. The bolt is UV mapped but unfortunately to an earlier version so it is off. I'll try to fix all of this within a week. Can you explain how specular maps could help? Like I said I'm a noobie and don't have any experience with them

Specular maps can add surface detail that is dependent on lighting. It also makes it so that you can have sharper highlights in certain areas.
