Hey guys,
Heads up for Russian speaking dudes over here
Me, d1ver and iConstuct decided to make a game-art related podcast (probably something like crunch cast guys) but for Russian community cauz we thought there is not as much game art training resources in Russian as there r in English.
So far we`ve got 3 epissodes about various topics like getting a job, learning resources and what a game artist is in general :P
Its still not perfect, we`ve got some tech issues and audio quality often suffers due to that but well, our 1st try

I've seen you around here for a while, Computron, yet never had any idea you speak russian. Yeah, it's funny how you never know:)
I understand Russian pretty well, but speaking and writing in Russian is not my strong point.
Matroskin, I love your avatar. Did you draw that yourself, or did I miss what would most likely be the best episode of prostokvashino?
EDIT: oh cool, I just crossed over triple digit post count. What do I get?
You get an internet high-five:
Высокие пять, товарищ!
I know that feel, tovarich.
Might look good on a resume though.
Has anyone seen any other Russian cartoon characters perhaps modeled and pimped in the forums?
I always see American cartoon/comic characters. I was thinking about modeling The Count from sesame street. (Get it? The Poly-Count? har har :poly142:)
I'm not really a character artist though...
I did send the link to a Russian friend who is an aspiring game artist though. Maybe he can translate for me, heh...
Hey comradovich,
I found that avatar on the net - probably a joke of someone. I wish there was an episode like that, but well... My fav cartoon character anyways, should he carry a bucket to milk the cow or an AK to kick some ass
