It's funny, I grew up listening to pretty much nothing but heavy metal as a kid but the Beastie Boys were always in my playlist as well as the lone hip hop band I liked. Going back and listening to them now, it's amazing how many memories are tied to their music from when I was a kid and just getting into music, and just how influential they were on my music tastes going forward. Huge loss to the music industry.

I truly hope this awful disease is going to get slapped down one of these years, its a bloody awful indiscriminate murderer. It tried to take my dad away earlier this year, fuck cancers existence.
What scares the shit out of me is how do you know if you've got cancer? How do these people find out? I never go to the doctor, and feel like shit sometimes, but that's just our lazy ass lifestyle... so yeah. Scary.
He's had an amazing career and will never be forgotten.
Supposedly, he had beat the cancer, but now I've been reading that those were just rumors. Gotta wait until more info is released though, to know the real truth.
