Bay Area Dev Meet Ups?

So I've been up here for a few months now, after living in So Cal and I'm starting to feel a bit homesick for some of the old dev meet ups, specifically, Beer Wednesdays. There doesn't seem to be a lot like that up here (or at least not advertised well)

A few of us at Telltale have been talking about doing something similar for awhile, so figure it's time to take some initative. I want to gauge the interest of those in the area in doing either a weekly or monthly meet up in the middle of the week, have a few drinks, chat up, maybe blow off some steam, and just have a good time. As well as, meet up with fellow devs in the area.

Good idea? Bad idea? Suggestions of places to meet up?

I just moved to Fremont, so I'd love to meet more people around the Bay -- especially if they're game devs. As for time and place, I really can't say until I've been working for a while; I start at Cryptic on Monday and I'm not certain what my schedule is going to look like going forward.

I'd assume the city might be a good middleground for all the devs, just finding a spot that is easy to get to (with parking) could be a concern.
