aww man, been awhile since I posted here. Gotta start posting again...
Started working on building some props. I have to refine my skills at hard surface modeling. This is a high res colt 1911. I started building this in maya, then brought it over to ZBrush.
Note: I have already noticed some of the bad polys on the slide and intend to fix those. Someting about the grip is bothering me also.
also, here's an update on my character Chad Sinclair. It's an old update. Haven't worked on him since June. I'm going to add some armor like pieces to his arm. I felt the design was lacking interest and not matching the boots he had on. I also added holsters to the back, which may be a bit off scale. I have to build the gun to check that though.
also grips on the 1911 are generally convex instead of flat
Also i assume you know you are missing pieces such as the mag release, slide release, and safety.
Also the slide is too thick around the ejection port.
Haven't been showing my book any love lately. Here's a character I created for a 2 week challenge. Theme was sci-fi military. I really only got a good 25-30 hours into it including re-topo and texturing but I finished on time. I'm pretty much done with this for now but I'd appreciate any feedback anyone has to offer. Thanks
Here's a quick pose I did for the contest. Again, any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Yes,I'm aware of the missing pieces. Good catch on the ejection port and the grips though. I'll update that. Thanks for the comments!
