Anyone know anything about recovering corrupt ZBrush files

I'm using ZBrush r4. Did a bunch of work on a model. Selected another subtool, went to move it and Zbrush crashed. The ZTool still works, but I've lost about an hours worth of work on it. When it crashed, Zbrush left a file in the recovery directory, but that immediately crashes ZBrush if I try to load it.

It's a pain in the arse rather than a huge disaster, but it'd still be nice to recover some of what I had if there's some way to do it. It's probably gone for good, but I thought it was worth asking.

they are binary files so there is no way to recover them. having had several huge disaster in production with this issue i have found no solution but to save like a maniac or move on to greener pastures.

you can try Export your file to 3ds max. and in import window, just selectvery important element ....
