Hey im currently working on a model, and i need help with the curves, the curves are in the shape of '1' and i need them to be in the shape of number '2' im not to sure on how to do this tho :L can someone help me?
You'll have to apply a smooth to the mesh to get it smooth after the chamfer, but that's not really appropriate until the whole thing is finished.
Do yourself a favor and read up on subdivision topology. You don't have to always use it on subdiv surfaces, the information goes a lot farther than that -- it is useful for high-poly modeling, making good UV's, and especially making a correct mesh for animation.
Chamfer should work, especially if you increase the number of segments in the chamfer options. You could also just manually add more edge loops and adjust them yourself.
To be honest though, and with no intention of being a dick, if you are having trouble with this shape and don't know what someone means by adding edge loops, you should probably go back to learning from the basics before trying to model a weapon like this.
There are lots of great beginner's tutorials out there you can start with. I would check out the Max basics series on 3dmotive...

And make sure you keep posting here, as polycounters are always glad to help out, as long as you're not trying to get ahead of yourself.
Good luck!
