AUTODESK Maya 2013

I use 2012 x64, limited functions I admit but I have the opportunity to upgrade super cheap.

Should I go for it?

Anyone have experiences with this new version?

Super cheap?, I think super cheap is worth an upgrade. You might end up using 2012 for another 4 months while plugins catch up but you never know, Nhair and the ability to preview lowpoly hair alpha planes without manual sorting could be worth it.

Really depends on what sort of work you do. 2013 is a great update for tech artists but doesn't really offer much new stuff for modelers. Might also be worth it for animators because of some of the new motionbuilder features.

to bad it's diablo weekend. The official maya nerd rage will not be in full swing until two more weeks at this rate.

Can u still upgrade after the 1rst ( if any ) subscription is out?

The only thing that seems worth upgrading are the Human IK enhancments
