I have been learning Blender from Youtube videos because it is free and I have been having lot of fun.
Does anyone have any tips about where in the world I should start or tips in general.
I'm very sorry if there are already threads for this kind of stuff if so please delete this and link me to the proper place.

Greetings and Salutations Dr.LOL;
Welcome to the Polycount, here you will find the tips and crits required for your 2d/3d arts.
Personally I would start with drawing basic figures, learning anatomy, learning the tools and figuring out your work flow to produce 2d/3d arts.
It really depends on what you want to be.
All you can do really is start a project and make it while learning. If you want some good tutorials 3dmotive has some good (paid) ones.
Welcome to the battle.
and not in the "stop being a dick" sense.
Well, I'm sure that's subjective.
I'm still an uneducated lout, but I'm a professional VFX artist now. The internet has all the resources you need to turn you into a pro.
Words of wisdom that take a long time to sink in:
Ignore the "Good effort" posts! and cherish the seemingly-cruel posts that genuinely tell you what's wrong with your WIPs and how to improve them.
