Got another q, trying to bake a lightmap in Maya with the Lighting/Shading > batch bake (mental ray) dialog when the mesh has 'softened' edges, but I keep getting these weird jagged bake errors:
a way i get around this is to add a smooth with 2-3 subdivisions.. and bake the AO off the hi res object. You still might have to do a little clean up in photoshop.
