Please check out my game (It's FREE!)

Greetings and salutations-

Recently, some classmates and I finished making a game at the Guildhall at SMU and I would like to share it.

I present Chroma, a colorful, fast-paced, abstract, third person deathmatch that is absolutely free to download and play!

Chroma is our attempt to put a new spin on deathmatch. It features variable gravity, so you can walk and jump on any surface while you frag away. Your ranking in the match determines the color of your avatar and the power-up you drop when killed.

We currently have a single server running, but the information and files needed to run a server are included with the download package.

The team had a blast working on Chroma and we hope you like it. This was a project that really meant a lot us and we’d love to keep developing it, but want generate some interest before we go any further. So please, help us out. Download it, play it, and spread the word =D

We’d also be thrilled with any feedback and happy to answer any questions.

Thanks a lot!

hmm looks cool but from watching the vid it seemed realy hard to pick out the enemys from the background, everything was teh same technicolor nightmare, and so many sparkles and flashes.

The colors are much more blown out in the video than in the game. We wanted to blur the line between eye-candy and death match so there are a lot of sparkles but it is much easier to pick out enemies in the game.

Hey there, lead programmer here. In some of the levels you can hide against your corresponding colored walls and blend in. It's more of a tactic just like moving around the map faster by making your gravity be in that direction you want to go.

Hey I tried using your game and I came across a couple of problems. Firstly, after you install it and restart the program its a pain to find the run file. You have to go through installdirectory/chroma/binaries/Win32/UDK.exe to find the file. Then when I finally got on I had to refresh the server list (no single player I assume?) and there was only one server with no one on it. I tried to access the server, and all that happened was the screen turned black and nothing happened, apart from the music playing in the background.

If you look in your programs it should be right here.

You must have joined when it was changing servers or something which happens every 3rd hour at 12:30.

If it happens again let me know and what time (so I know which server and map.
