I work at a small game studio in Canada, and I thought it'd be fun to post some of my work here, as a way to track my growth and hopefully get some useful CC or at least something to think about for my next projects.
I am primarily a 2d Artist, but I have been learning maya over the last year or so. So, most of my art will be 2D. I would love to hear any type of feed back, but 3D tips and tricks are extremely desired.
This here is my first character model I did over the weekend. Fun stuff!
Thanks a lot! I was just browsing your portfolio - awesome 3d stuff. I hope I can start working on my 3d to get it to a respectable level (without halting my 2D studies).
Thanks a lot. I've never joined a forum that does the sketchbook stuff.. It's awesome seeing a lot of different work. I like the idea of joining a community of artists.
Very nice texture work on that last model!
And very nice everything else too! I really like your style.
I like to see the wire frame versions of models too, since I like seeing how people do their topology.
Heya! I will do a sheet in a few days with multiple poses/topo. I kept it under 3000, as was my goal. I am going to model some weapons and stuff for it too. And thanks
Think your the shield would improve if you added abit of highlights and shadows to the woodgrain, anyway it looks really nice.
Really digg your 2d style, the last creature is awesome
Looks great! The only thing that bugs me is you have all these lovely distinguishing features, but they are only used once or twice in a confined area of the monster. It doesn't feel like one monster, but parts of many monsters, but if you were going for that mish-mosh look then I guess I could still bring myself to sleep at night.
Thanks guys! I guess I was sort of going for a chimera type of creature, but I probably should have reused some elements in different parts. I was hoping that by sharing and dropping the colors over that it would sort of unify it.
Thanks a lot! I am going to repost the above once it's completely finished. I tweaked it a lot and it's looking a lot stronger now. After that, I may finally get around to texturing a treasure chest I modeled a while back.
Waiting around for a new challenge has inspired me to tackle some enemies from my favorite video game series. This time, it's the classic FLAN and Bomb, enemies.

Whipped up a character tonight to turn into a low poly model. I want to keep practicing my modeling, so I think this will be what I do next.
My second go at modeling a character (based off the sketch above.
Hey guys,
Haven't added anything in a while, but here's a posting of the small scene I am working on (based on a posted reference I did).

A creature painting I did yesturday. I kinda like it.
So.. I may be crazy but in the pic of the scuba diver, the man looks like Walter White from 'Breaking Bad'.
An update! The sword and shield for the knight model I was working on. Diffuse only. Wippy wip.
Really digg your 2d style, the last creature is awesome
A 1-2 hour environment painting! The first attempt at it.
Another quick environment piece I did up today.
I did a quick 2.5 hour painting. I don't usually go without any prep.. but I decided to just go for it.
A quick 1 hour study of an ant. I am going to be doing an Ant-man piece for the Avengers theme for my works art blog.
Another study.
A quick monster concept piece I did.
Decided to take a crack at making a bunch of random silhouettes and turning them into quick characters. And here is the results!
Dwarf concepts done in the same manner as above.
Figured I'd post this quick, random painting I did in an hour. I had no direction. When in doubt, add giant spikes, I guess!
This is what I wound up finishing with. Creatureforgehttp://http://cghub.com/forum/showthread.php?p=121614&posted=1#post121614 is a pretty cool thing. Lots of good stuff.
A new creature concept I have come up with!
