High Moon Studios, part of Activision Blizzard, is developing a high-profile, action-packed title for Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 and PC. FX ARTIST
Overview:
High Moon Studios is looking for a skilled FX Artist to create stunning special effects and develop advanced material and particle shaders for an exciting, high profile game. The candidate must be passionate about making great games, be a strong problem-solver and an effective communicator.
Responsibilities:
Utilize sprite-based particle systems to create wide variety of real-time special effects
Develop advanced material and particle shaders within the Unreal 3 Engine for photorealistic and fantastical visual effects.
Creates textures for particle and material effects.
Collaborate effectively with game designers, environment artists, concept artists and programmers in a quality-driven, team-oriented environment.
Create and implement effects using Unreal 3 engine and tools.
Report to the Lead Artist.
Requirements:
Production experience with current-generation effects systems utilizing particle systems, particularly sprites, and other forms of dynamic simulations.
Highly proficient with Photoshop.
Traditional art foundation focusing on color theory, lighting and form.
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain clear and open communication with team members.
Strong passion for video games.
Minimum 2 years of game industry experience and have shipped at least 1+ game titles.
Recommended:
Experience with Unreal 3 Engine
