modeled the fire walker myself recently, hope you mean 4x 2048 one for leg one for body etc. i nearly went crazy trying to uv it all onto a single 2048.. it has alot of floating geo that unexpectedly kicks texel space arse .
its looking solid so far, i think the dual barrels could do with being chunked up a little as well as the hoop at the top of the leg
I love the detail in the legs they are so well designed they look like they could actually move. The shader in your process shot is making it hard to make out your high poly. can't wait to see where this goes.
just a couple of renders of my progress with the high poly. You will probably notice there are not bolts or small detail cuts in the mesh. They will be there in the final normal map (i will model them over the uvs and create a normal map overlay.
Well, Im going to completely revamp the texture maps. I literally turned this in today for one of my final projects for my senior year. I want this to be a flagship Model for my portfolio. Im going to rework textures and I really want to look into rendering with Xoliul shader (which i know nothing about).
Since this is a cinematic piece, there are four 2048 maps. so i really want the detail to come out in my renders, just don't know if Unreal is going to do it justice.
Also there are many more normal maps i would like would like to overlay onto the body of the tank as well as the gun.

so more detail and better textures to come!
