I've posted here
before on a different subect regarding recruits. Since then, our development team has increased in size.
Concept artwork is in early stages, we have many modellers (will still need more in another couple of weeks), but right now, we need to set-up a team to create new maps for the TremZ game.
Ideally, just for the map-making team, we'd like to have at least a modeller (or two), a couple of good mappers, a concept artist, and someone who can create the sound FX.
The team would only make the levels/maps, nothing else. For the first official release we'd like to have at least 3 small maps, and 1 large map for the official download at the beginning. They should take full advantage of the OpenWolf engine features. Map creation would require knowledge of Blender and/or Radiant, or similar for Idtech3 modded offshoot. Models use .md5 mesh and animation. We have very good modellers and animators who can help with advice, assist in other ways. Modelling can anything from brick/stone/concrete blocks to doors/furnishings that can be knocked around in the environment with the use of the
Newton Game Physics. Such as having a brick wall smashed down, ceiling panels broken, or doors knocked flying. The maps would be partially destructible environments with these features. Also, to take advantage of the
dynamic shadow mapping, lighting can be used, such as rotating warning lights, flickering flames, smoke.
Displacement Mapping can also be used. Those are just examples, more than this can be done.
