First highpoly model Colt 1911

Hello everyone!

This is my first post here at polycount.
I was hoping to get some input on my first high poly model ive created inside of maya. The idea for this gun is to make it a game asset in udk.

Im also hoping for some guidence when it comes to normalmapping this out. I understand the fundamental concept behind the workflow how to bake normal maps, but is there someone who could give me some general tips on, lets say, the lowpoly mesh, or how to avoid ugly creses and so forth.

Every comment and every tip will be much appreciated!

and uh, edges are too sharp: anyone has the famous holosight example linked?

PLUS: this model has been done to death! if You search the forum You'll find enough info.
