I'm on the fence. Some of the artwork looks great, but I'm massively unconvinced by the actual game itself, which seems to have nothing to do with the original Nexuiz and some design decisions I feel have no place in an arena shooter.
STUPID Mode is now available, 32 Player Support, Deathmatch - DUEL mode is now free, and much, much more!
Special note for artists: STUPID mode uses all the crazy DX11 features, such as tessellation, giant textures and generally flipping the bird at performance.
Additionally, the DEMO does include the editor. Both are FREE!
Who will find the greentooth? Hint is in one of my levels.
Heard some negative reviews about it from pro-gamers who say that it doesn't feel balanced for competitive play at all, which it seems to be geared towards.. I played it when it was a linux open sourced game, a little sad to see it taken away from that environment but can appreciate the desire to make a buck off it
Yeah it's indeed slander. What's hilarious is that they don't realize the original classic Nexuiz also started as a commercial effort. It's the fact they always leave out. Having followed Nexuiz from THE BEGINNING, there's no "betrayal" to me for the second (and rather much more successful) commercial try. I facepalmed hard when it was forked for that "they stole our nexuiz brand our Free Software game name" reason. I however dropped my involvement with the maintainers earlier than that for another hypocritical "Free" reason, and that's another story...
OT, I did enjoy the free weekend months ago! Good luck with the re-launch, hope it helps you and THQ
Good job guys!! I just played the demo and it's the most fun I've had in a long time. MOst games I've tried over the last few years have been way too slow. After playing I felt like I just downed 5 espressos.
Last time I ran it (at home through steam), it was as simple as right click on Nexuiz in the Library, and one of the options is launch Editor or something like that.
Otherwise in your Steam/steamapps/common/Nexuiz/bin32/editor.exe or whereever you installed it. Helpful to copy the shortcut to your desktop so you don't have to go digging again.

Here's a silly video of some things

We're also bundled with video cards now, so you can get Nexuiz for like $160 if you want, included a video card.

And nothing was taken away, it's all still there.

Big question now is how to get to the editor?
