Hi, there !
I got a question, I try to create some modular pieces of wall, i did them whith maya, it looks nice and clean, but then when I import them into unity 3D, I got some wierd seams when I'm looking to it from a distance.
When I'm close, everything looks ok, but when I'm far, it's not the case anymore. I first thought it was because of my little pieces all put together, so I combine all the sections and merge the vertices and re import into unity, but same problem, I got those seams ..
I wrote a post here :
http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/128853-Wierd-Seam-in-my-wall?p=870373#post870373
Since I read many things about modularity here, i though maybe someone could help me here !
Best regards.
Nico
EDIT : It seems that my textures are quite bad

If I use the regular lambert, the problem vanish.
Have to work on better texturing ... if you have any good tuto' to propose, I would be glad.
(My prob is that on maya my texture dont look perfect, but the seams is barely invisible, I have to look really close, and in unity when I'm far I got ugly things, so if I make a perfect texture, would this be gone ?)
EDIT2 : Finally find out what was going wrong, see the 3d unity forum.
(still looking for texture tuto)
thanks
