I looked back on my portfolio after 6 months at Splash and I feel like I can already do better than anything in there. So I started a weapon from
this concept I quite liked.
I'm aiming for flawless quality on this one, with Brink-like specs.
So, almost done with the HP after a few evenings:

std material to show the model off better:

This looks awesome, inspirational
Add the ridges to the back side of the handles and the dots on the butt stock.
IIRC, DX:HR didn't do the guns justice with a custom baked normal maps so this should be interesting.
Computron: I think I'll leave those dots for Photoshop. I also don't really like how they wrap around the stock. And the ridges are not really geometry ridges I think, it's supposed to represent some sort of translucency in the plastic? It's a bit weird, but it's definitely not a geometry thing imo. Makes no sense to have ridges on the back anyway.

In any case, this is looking really solid.
Anyway, I did this during some Substance Painter demo's. Almost done, might need some more polishing, could probably do with better presentation in Marmoset or something.
