Issues with Microsoft PIX's

Hey Polycounters,

Anyone on here use Microsoft PIX and if so do you have any crashes when you try and debug a pixel? I am trying to find out why some light and shadow maps are not working correctly but each time I run a trace back on a pixel PIX will crash. Any one have any ideas or suggestions about how to get around this? I would provide more information if I had some but I am at a loss on why it is crashing as it has always worked just fine for me.

    I haven't had issues with PIX crashing unless there was something wrong with that specific build of game I was running. PIX should not crash just because you're debugging a pixel - I did that all the time. I'd try to get help from your devs, to see what the issue is.

    I have no idea what happened but it is now working correctly. Maybe there where some gremlins in my macheine again:\
