Is that painted brass and copper? Your paint and metal are not reading well. Your shapes and details look great, but your material reads are off.
Also, for nasty banding in gradients in your background like that, add a small amount of noise (filter-noise-add noise, at like 1-2%) and it'll smooth it out for you nicely.
