Hey guys, here's my first time using UDK and attempting Hand painted textures. I'm here creating a thread so I can track my progress and obviously get some critiques from the community.
I'm making a Stone throne and here's what I've got so far:
So far the ornament on top only has a placeholder textures, I'm focusing on the stone to start. So far I know that the color scheme on the sitting part versus the arm rests are completely off. The cracks are much to big in my opinion and there isn't much consistency throughout the model.
The only thing I think I've done right so far is the base mesh, I think :shifty:

I've been working on another texture, same model. Still trying to work on color but int he meantime here's what I got
The tutorials I'm following have a point where the smudge some color in but it looks too easy and when I do it it's a mess. Any tips?
