World Weavers : Warpath

World Weavers Entertainment is a growing team of experienced managers, modelers, and programmers. For months (years, for some), our team has learned and grown together – building both chemistry and cohesion amongst one another, which without a doubt has helped to provide for a unified vision in our current project – ‘Warpath’. We have dedicated our time and talents to the development of “Warpath”, a very particular type of survival game whose successful completion requires a well-organized team, clear workflows and practices, a well-constructed asset/file management system, as well as a powerful and dedicated team of individuals. As professionals, we all agree that organization is of the highest importance and need be handled with delicate precision. This fact alone points to one reason why we have chosen to adopt the Agile development methodology for this project.

The official production of Warpath started four weeks ago after having undergone a three month pre-production phase in which requirements were defined, the team organized, our technical and game design documents drafted, and the project completely tasked. We settled on implementing the “Scrum” agile project management methodology and our first four week sprint ended last Thursday (03.17.2012), providing us with our first technical demo! The demo features the advanced terrain generator, one of our more critical features, alongside an evolving character controller. The whole project thus far has been through a five month production cycle, which we are extremely proud of.

We are today on the process of forming a company, writing contracts and defining revenues and company shares.

What is Warpath ?

The game features an angled, top-down view and consists of fast-paced action, dynamic adventures, and construction phases. Warpath boasts an advanced terrain generator, which entrenches the player in a randomly-generated and immersive environment, providing for a new and unique experience with each game. Warpath' terrain generation is not the only feature which makes the environments unique. The game will feature lush forests, green grassfield and urban environments rarely seen in postapocalyptic settings, all explorable by the player.

As the player, you will have to survive against relentless and technologically advanced enemies called Atheists but also against powerful and tireless Werewolves, biologically modified humanoids named after old legends, in regard to their new physical makeup. You can request the help of others and delve deeper into the world of Warpath in Cooperation Mode by playing alongside with up to three friends through LAN or Internet.

I want proof of progress ! Where are your screenshots ?

Let's be straight and clear : we do not consider screenshots to be important or revealing. Any game can provide screenshots. Thus, our decision is to provide interested applicants with our technical demo alongside with some explanations, concept arts and renders of models of the game.
