@SCB im also surprised about the speed that im getting from this exercise! 1 month ago i was struggling like hell trying to make my other character face look decent.
and for the texture its simply a prejection in zbrush using Spotlight + a simple Renderpass in photoshop, nothing too fancy!
@candystripe05 that could be an idea! what software can i use to do this?
@bonebrew yes i strongly recommend!
So heres the one ive done today

how did you do the hair on that asian fellow? New Zbrush hair tool or some godly use of planes?
@ravanna yeah its the new fibermesh on zbrush , pretty cool feature! and really easy to learn!
http://lunchcrunch.org/how-to-timelapse-recordings/
@organizedchaos well it took me less and less time at each one. the first i would say about 12-15 hours and the last one about 5h
@good idea
@donavonyoung yes its in my plans but ill keep them for last. right now im doing a women and im gonna try to add differnet emotions on layers.
then monster/aliens/creature for a week
aaand then stylized!
ooufff!
thanks again guys its really motivating!

Just some extreme nit picking. The eyes on the untextured view of her are a bit hazy, and the upper lip looks a bit flat, could do with a slight inflate.
I am catching a tiny bit of saturation artifacts/spotchyness that comes from mixing projections, but its overall really clean.
I would love to get some details about your workflow as well.
Awesome work buddy!
you should make one ..love the hair on the japanese guy
All those good comments are really motivating!!!
for the Projections, i have alot of studio pirctures and i tend to do a sheet like that

or you can find some pre-made on the internet too.
For the final image composition, i use the Bpr images pass(AO/shadow/Shaded/SSS) and compose them in PS.
You can now also do it in zbrush but i dont know how yet.
I also make m some other pass with the BASICMATERIAl on black, no polypaint, and i play with the light and the specularity curve of the Material. Then blend it with Screen in PS
the Material is the SKIN4
and the eyes i use plastictoys
I also add some Wax in the render. that gives pretty much the same effext as SSS.
I also have a render pass of Depth that i use as a lensBlur filter in PS.
thats about it. dont hesitate if you have questions or if theres some stuff that arent clear. my english is not perfect
@Lroy That would have saved me alot of time! thanks alot !!
and now something a little bit different : a glossy guy!
the concept i used is from Dado almeida on that sheet :

hope you like it! any crits are welcome
Love your work!
@Dado happy that you like it! i was hesitating between that one and the beige one in the top left corner so maybe ill do that one too
@Iciban one of the thing that can be very good to start study head is to madel a plane head like this http://www.mantlestudios.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/planes.jpg i had to model 1 in clay in my anatomy class and it really made understand alot of the basic shapes.
