First time in here... In fact second time because i got overwhelmed in the brawler challenge and wasn't able to finish it. But this time even though i'm a bit late in this contest I'll get it done ! I've hesitate a lot between weapon's types but here I go for the Axe probably a demonic or core. I'll rush some concept in zbrush wich is way faster for me than photoshop.I should post them later tonight.

Here my progress messing with the shapes and sketching some possibilities to make the weapon plausible. Still not sure for the central part i though it could be nice if it would be a broken bone with a blade incrusted in it. Planning on adding a few stips and details it much more to see if this could fit or else i'll just sketch something else. I could use some comments out here feel free to give your impressions!

I've added a grapnel on the top of the skull and the jaw bone to support this i'll probably now I'll get the main bone bigger to support all this.

After a day of sketching in Zbrush with like 30 different subtool i'm getting closer to the shape i want while refining the aggressive look of the skull. Still working on the shape and soon enough i'll want to shoot myself for a good 15 hours retopology. But sketching in Zbrush is always so relaxing if it isn't for the retopo this could'nt be called a work .

Here's the progress! My friends told me that it didn't look like an axe and i agreed completely, so i though of addind some metal shapes incrusted to the skull. I'll add some more subtool soon that make it look more solid and united. Still gotta decide if i'm gonna let the blade that pierce the skull I now thinks it's disturbing. Probably let the place for the grapnel and the chains to wrap it up! Should have a topo and get to the real sculpting and texturing thursday.

Here we go for a lil 12h streak i created a topo with many of my subtool let me know which one you like the most or which recombination would you make. Gotta sleep now i'm working in 4h hours haha :P. 12h til the end of this Poll after i'm getting to the topology and the clean mesh! Gimme some feedback if you pass by !

Sorry for this unfinished thread polycounters, It's been 5 days that i'm terribly sick so i had to cancel this challenge but i'll finish it a post it as soon as i'll be able to work and won't have 41 degree fever. Even if the deadline is over i want to texture it. Good luck to all of you who met the deadline your weapon from what i've seen are amazing.
