Hey all, I am new to the forums but when I saw this contest, I had to try doing something of my own. I'm quite a beginner when it comes to 3D modeling IMO but wanted to improve my skills with this as motivation.

I have made several quick concepts of weapons but ended up choosing the 5th one (with the teeth) because my colleagues preferred that design. If I have time, I may choose another design for another entry.

So far I have most of the head part blocked in, just need to edit the handle and bottom before tweaking the polys more. It's sitting at around 900 polys already.

Feedback is appreciated.

I'm having trouble getting the normal maps baking properly. I read that I needed to offset the mirrored UVs outside the 0,1 range, but it doesn't solve this issue. I think there must be something wrong with the shader normals on my low poly but I can't seem to fix it. Any suggestions?

First off, what does the high poly look like?

All I did was go up to level 4 in Mudbox after importing the low-poly, just to test a normal map bake before spending time on it.
