Okay, so this is my first contest on Polycount! I really love the Darksiders series so I had to enter.

My first concept is an angel axe that I designed after Azrael from the first Darksiders because I loved his design a lot. I'm borrowing elements but I'm posting my concept before it's finished because I'm not sure if it's okay to do so. I'm trying to keep it similar but still make it my own. If someone would let me know if I should change it then that would be appreciated.

So, this is basically the final concept for this angel axe so now it's on to modeling. Critiques are appreciated.

Wings, face, gem. Check.

Only crit I have is the colour choice for the handle. I'd lighten it up slightly, keep it brown but just a lighter tone.

So now that the base model is finished I can detail it in zbrush. Been kinda slow so I need to pick up the pace.

Or, as another option to lightening that beautiful deep brown as Habboi suggested, you could darken that sort of orange-y color in the center inner ring to make it match the dark brown handle. Well, in any case, having the handle and that inner ring the same color may look more unified, which ever route you may take.
