hello all
many apologies and thanks for your patience
fresh meat looking for structural help on modeling human anatomy. Im working on a female 3d model and I'm happy with the majority of anatomy and construction, but I would appreciate suggestions on how to deal with the technical construction of hands and feet and how to incorporate them into the rest of the model. Wire examples would be a huge help.
I modeled it torn as whether to go high res or low poly. How does one handle these areas in both low poly and high poly? The entire model is currently made of quads.
the lighter wires are the base geometry before being subdivided.
I could also use some help on good methods to construct ears.
i have heard the the UVs in games are mirrored when possible to save UV space. What exactly does this mean? Since my model is symmetrical does it mean I should overlay the UV's producing a result similar to the example below.
come on photobucket be the lucky one.
dropbox used secured webpages and i think thats what was holding them back. Is there a special setting i must adjust before they can ppear on forums?

Anyway... Though the initial response is to put the images in a folder in 'photos', that won't work for forums. You should instead put them in a folder in 'public'. The 'public' folder works as your own little webserver. Mostly, anyway. It won't allow for folder mapping like a normal server(this keeps your other files safe), and of course no php either. Javascript, CSS, flash, linked files are all fine, though. Example of a complete page.
What you do is put your renders and screenshots in a folder in 'public', rightclick the file, dropbox, copy public link. This will give you a link such as http://dl.dropbox.com/u/448525/keep/Polycount/geospheres.png that can be accessed by anyone, and which can be used in forums as an image:
