Totally new here but I wanted to give this contest a try. (:

I started off with silhouettes to figure out what kind of weapon I was going for, then picked my favourite three shapes and fleshed them out more. Now I need to pick one and work on the styling of it.

I'm loving the middle one of the three fleshed out ones. The faces and the handle work in particular.

Middle fav is lookin the best imo as well, altho the crow one (third) had my eyes for a while, but it looks too delicate to be used as a weapon.
I'd also fill in the middle gaps in the middle design, adding volume.

So it ended up going very Art Nouveau (love love love Mucha, could you tell? (: )
I'll have to chunk out the hair more to bring it closer to the Angelic style, but for now I'll get started on modelling it.

big nostril, and I'd really like to see BIG chunks of flutes for the hair, instead of slim and thin texture strokes.
