Sketchbook: i eat razorz

Getting back into computer art. Finally have time, and saved up enough to get some of the things I've been wanting. Mainly a decent computer and a wacom.

I think this sketch book thing is cool and I'm open to crits.

These are the first three things I did tonight with the wacom:


Considering I haven't drawn anything for about a year and a half, and last worked with a wacom in like 98, I'm surprised I did that. It's suppose to be the Prince from Prince of Persia off the Warrior Within Case.





I'm working in Autodesk Sketchbook express right now. Definitely need work on my line control and proportions.

Welcome to Polycount! It's nice to see that you are posting 2d art. Have you considered doing some studies of Loomis, Bridgman, or another artist? I think it would benefit you a lot!

Started off with head construction. Then I realized I couldn't even get a decent circle drawn. ICK! So it turned into squares and circles. So now I will at the beginning of each session I will do a page of circles, and a page of squares. I feel like I'm starting at step one again...

This was the disaster piece that resulted...



Edit: I will note that when I was teaching my self how to draw when I was a kid I start doing heads similar to what Loomis teaches in his book.
